Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and Scope

By creating an account, accessing course modules, purchasing digital textbooks, or interacting with the KDE E-Book platform (the "Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Erciyes University.

2. Account Registration and Access

To access ebooks, quizzes, and other learning materials, you must register for an account using your academic or validated personal credentials. You agree to:

• Provide true, accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Protect your password and access token, keeping them confidential at all times.
• Promptly notify administrators of any unauthorized security breach or usage of your credentials.

3. Academic Integrity & Progress Metrics

The Service automatically tracks reading duration, page numbers, quiz completion scores, and active study indicators. Under academic guidelines of Erciyes University and GDPR/KVKK consent frameworks, you agree to:

• Uphold complete academic integrity during all evaluations, vocabulary spelling tests, and reading assignments.
• Refrain from using scripts, automated bots, multi-tab browsers, or emulation software to artificially inflate reading durations or copy quiz content.
• Acknowledge that academic dishonesty, metric manipulation, or unauthorized material distribution may lead to account suspension and university disciplinary action.

4. Subscriptions, Payments and Cancellations

Access to curriculum ebooks requires an active subscription pass (e.g., Semester Pass, Annual Pass). Payment transactions are processed securely:

• All prices include applicable value-added taxes under Turkish tax regulations.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected term. Except as mandated by the Turkish Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 6502) regarding digital goods and instant service delivery, payments are non-refundable.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All textbooks, audio dialogue tracks, interactive exercises, quiz questions, and interface designs are the intellectual property of Erciyes University Department of Korean Language and Literature or licensed content providers.

You are granted a non-transferable, personal, limited, and revocable license to access the materials for your personal education. Copying, republishing, screen-recording, or sharing any course material is strictly prohibited.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kayseri Courts and Enforcement Offices.
